Do you travel for photoshoots? Are the travel expenses included in my sessions?
Travel is included up to 50 miles from Rocklin, CA. Beyond that, travel is $40/an hour.
How long does it take to get our photos?
You will receive a gallery link 2-4 weeks after your session. If you need your gallery sooner, please discuss that prior to our session. If you want your gallery within days of your session, a premium rush fee of $150 will be added to your bill and must be paid prior to your session.
How far in advance should I secure my date?
Because my calendar is only for a select number of exclusive equine, canine, and portrait commissions each month to ensure a high-touch, unhurried experience, I recommend booking your session 4 to 6 weeks in advance. However, I am available to schedule out months in advance.
What is the deposit, and do you offer payment plans?
To make your legacy artwork investment seamless, all collections require a standard 30% retainer to officially lock your date on the calendar. The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to your session day. If you need custom payment plans, please communicate that in your submission form and during our initial communication.
What happens if the weather is unfavorable for THE DAY OF MY SHOOT?
One week from your session, I will check the forecast. If the weather is unfavorable, I will contact you and give you the option to reschedule at no charge or proceed with the shoot. If the weather is unsafe, we will reschedule.
Do we need to sign a formal photography contract?
Yes, absolutely. Once we select your perfect location and date, you will receive a secure digital contract and invoice. This legal safeguard ensures your session date is fully protected, outlines our safe animal-handling protocols, and secures your personal print release, so your final artwork is entirely yours to enjoy.
Can I choose my own location, or do you recommend spots?
Both! After you submit your inquiry, we will discuss your vision during our initial communication. Whether you want to shoot at your private local stable or utilize one of my pre-scouted, premium outdoor locations in the area, we will match the location perfectly to your style.

What should we wear for our session?
Once booked, you'll receive a complimentary wardrobe & session prep guide for your session, tailored to the planned location, season, and lighting/time of day.
